Hingham Youth Lacrosse: How Our Program Grows With Your Player

Lacrosse is a spring sport, and our season is built around one goal: developing skills and pairing them with real game experience. Players move through three phases as they grow, each designed to match where they are in their development.

Kindergarten – 2nd Grade: Learn the Game, Love the Game

Our youngest players focus on fundamentals and fun. Everything happens right here in Hingham, with a practice and game schedule played entirely in town. The emphasis is on building core skills like catching, throwing, and scooping, and on building confidence and a love for the sport.

3rd – 4th Grade: Introduction to Town Competition

This is where players get their first experience of playing other towns. As members of the Town Pride League, we form evenly balanced teams so every player gets a fair and competitive experience. Teams practice twice a week and play Sunday games against neighboring towns.

5th – 8th Grade: Skill-Based Teams

Every player who registers is placed on a team. Teams are formed by skill level so players are challenged appropriately and can keep developing. Teams practice twice a week and play Sunday games in the Town Pride League, in a division matched to their level.

Current Expected Schedule For Spring 2027
